Capstone Church is a non-denominational, gospel-centered church located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. We exist to glorify God by making disciples who worship CHRIST, live and grow in COMMUNITY, and serve each other and the world with COMPASSION.
What you'll find when you attend Capstone is a diverse community where people seek to know and love Jesus, live in community with others, and show compassion to our neighbors, city, and world. Capstone is made up of people of all ages, different walks of life, and various denominational backgrounds. But more fundamentally, we are sinners saved by grace and welcomed into the Kingdom of God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Some of us are just checking out Christianity for the first time, while others have been following Jesus for years. All are welcome.
William Tyndale once wrote, "The Church is the one institution that exists for those outside its walls." We have taken that saying and simplified it to say, “WE EXIST FOR THOSE NOT HERE YET.” This is part of our mission statement and serves as a constant reminder to never become too insider-focused.
